Who knew that the International Translator's Day existed???!
Not me until last week!XD but I completely forgot until yesterday

HAPPY TRANSLATOR'S DAY !!

I don't feel nothing too special yet, let's wait 2 more years or so and we will see...

This whole week have been full of conferences, but I didn't go to any xP. I mean, who the hell schedule conferences at the same hour that classes?!

Because of these conferences, today I didn't have Linguistic's classes but the bad part was that Orellana (sorry I don't call her professor/teacher, not here anyway =/ just in RL =.=) didn't tell us and some of the students that just go for that class, went for nothing .__.

Tomorrow there is a symposium, form 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. but you needed to register and pay,  I wanted to go but... =___= all the day there.??... is not much appealing x__x  plus I have  Philosophy & Psicology classes.

Oh! Sth else.... Did you know that the Translator's day the same day of St. Jerome (Jeronimo in spanish) who was the man who translated the Bible into latin ?

International Translation Day is celebrated every year on 30 September on the feast of St. Jerome, the Bible translator who is considered as the patron saint of translators. The celebrations have been promoted by FIT (the International Federation of Translators) ever since it was set up in 1953. In 1991 FIT launched the idea of an officially recognised International Translation Day to show solidarity of the worldwide translation community in an effort to promote the translation profession in different countries (not necessarily only in Christian ones). This is an opportunity to display pride in a profession that is becoming increasingly essential in the era of progressing globalisation.
